If you are looking for a tour, orientation, or to observe a class please make an appointment by calling the school ahead of time so we can plan to assist you.
If you are coming to try a class, we suggest you arrive at the school about 15 minutes ahead of schedule as both adults and children find it helpful to look around and get acclimated. Please wear loose filling clothes, like sweats and T-shirts. You’ll want to be comfortable kicking and be ready to sweat. We practice kung fu and tai chi in shoes so please bring a clean pair of sneakers. If you decide to pursue a regular practice you can buy uniforms at the school. We have changing rooms for your convenience. You are welcome to bring a sports drink for breaks but we also have a water bubbler in the school.
You’ll be asked to fill out a short registration form. It will give you an opportunity to let us know if you have any medical conditions we should know about. Youngsters under 18 will need their parent or guardian’s signature to participate. A student’s manual is available, along with other supplementary books, to help you familiarize yourself with the system and its basics.
You’ll be led through a typical class with all the extra instructions and assistance you’ll need to effectively participate and begin learning the material.
